About this Sailboat:

“Haiku” is 44′ 0″ overall, 26′ 6″ extreme beam, 3′ 6″ draft with the centerboard up. The displacement is 11 tons net 13 gross. The construction of this professionally built sailboat is cold-molded Bruynzeel mahogany, 3 plys with West System epoxy monocoque, constructed in 1985 by California Custom Boats. A high-tech, lightweight, pre-preg carbon cruising interior was installed in 2001. Haiku has a new conventional mast.

The interior has 3 double berths in 3 cabins, a double in the forward cabin, main salon and a separate and private aft cabin with its own head. This arrangement is exceedingly comfortable and practical at sea or harbor and very lightweight. All electronics and major equipment have been updated including windlasses, wiring, plumbing and deck hardware.

Auxiliary propulsion is by new 40 hp Volvo D2-40 installed in 2008, 3 blade prop. – Haiku was designed for a fast comfortable ride and the ability to navigate waters that other sailboats cannot, making her a perfect choice for adventure sailing.
