16 October, 2012 by EVAN

About this Sailboat:

‘Joy’ is a Bristol 41.1 built in 1984. Bristol were one of the first production glassfibre boatbuilders, based in Rhode Island, and their vessels have excellent reputations solid go-anywhere bluewater cruising yachts. The 41.1 is a 2nd generation, Ted Hood designed, sloop rigged cruiser that can be easily sailed single handed. The centreboard permits the vessel to sail into shallow anchorages such as the Bahamas, and the mast height of 62′ above the water allows her to sail under the fixed bridges on the ICW.
This vessel has been cherished by the last two owners, has spent the last 20 years just gently cruising the Caribbean with occasional return trips to Florida. She is ready to sail over the horizon and more than capable of continuing around the globe. All in all a vessel in great condition and ready to go anywhere without the need for additional crew.

Equipment on Board:
