1983 Nauticat 38 Pilothouse

About this Sailboat:

The Nauticat 38 has been in production since 1975. Nauticats are built in Finland and are renowned for
their reputation to go just about anywhere in any type of weather. The staysail ketch rig allows for lots
of sail options and the trusty Ford diesel is ultra-reliable. This particular example was launched in 1983
and is well-equipped for cruising. September 2008 survey available. Check out her specifications and

Equipment on Board:

Accommodations: Bow stateroom with large V-berth and filler panel, forward head with Lavac toilet, dinette with new cushions which converts into a double berth. 3 steps up is the pilothouse which has the helm on center, and an L-shaped settee with new cushions and sliding doors on each side. Overhead is a sliding sunroof. Master stateroom has an athwartships double berth. Forward is the master head, which has a Lavac toilet and tile countertop and sole.
Redone refer/freezer
with cold-plate system, Mobilife stove w/2 burners plus oven, Emerson microwave oven, dual stainless steel sinks, w/pressure & manual fresh water and sea water faucets.
Exterior & Ground Tackle: 45 lb. plow anchor with 300′ of 5/8″ chain and 5/8″ nylon rope rode, saltwater deck washdown, NECO electric windlass with foot & remote switches, 45 lb. Danforth, a 55lb. Fortress anchor in a vinyl bag.
Foredeck, side decks and aft deck are teak planked (needs some caulking and refastening). 1/4″ storm windows mount over pilothouse windshield and side windows. White mesh window covers for windshield and side windows. Sunroof has a canvas
cover. Aft deck has helm with windscreen, bench seats with cushions, dinghy davits and swim platform.
