About this Sailboat:

Great Freshwater boat!!

1972 C&C 30 MK1
Sail #104

Altair is a great yacht and is one of the best designed boats ever built on the great lakes. She was built in Niagara on the Lake and has been on Lake Ontario for her entire life. Only 2 caring owners have had the pleasure of sailing her and she is now available for purchase again.
Altair is in exceptional condition for her age and is a very fast boat. These boats are so well made, I’m sure she has another 40 years of sailing in her!! These boats have solid hand laid hulls (no cores) and are extremely well built. The boat has a fin keel / rudder design for amazing handling characteristics. Once you’ve sailed on a C&C 30 you can see why the owners of these boats keep them for so long. The boat has good headroom below and is a very forgiving boat to sail. These boats are very performance oriented, yet they make wonderful cruising boats too.
