About this Sailboat:
FREE Vintage Wooden Flying Dutchman Racing Sailboat. Late 1950s, US hull No. 49, needs a good home — and some TLC.
We’re selling our condo and no longer have storage space. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with basic wookworking skills who wants to own a classic high-performance trapeze sailboat.
You’ll need a trailer, the muscle to move a 600 lb boat a few feet, and a schedule that allows you to pick it up near Syracuse, NY on Fri, Oct. 14 (or possibly, Sat., Oct. 15.)
The boat has been stored indoors since the early 1960s. It is complete with original sails, mast, centerboard, rudder and rigging. The hull and deck are sound — but definitely need work.
