  6. 1980 Yorktown Olympian – Estate Sale

    October 5, 2011 by EVAN

    About this Sailboat:

Estate Sale – Lovely 30′ Yorktown sailboat built by Hank McCune in Wilmington, CA. Has been loved by one owner since 1980. Price includes alot of extras – brass fittings, teakwood trim, custom brass portholes, sails and sail covers, Yanmar diesel engine, Uniden radio among others. All gear, including life vests, and foul weather wear, extra mast, tool collection, 2 anchors, extra teak, outboard motor, galley items and extensive sailing library is included in this price – gimbelled stainless RV Brown Stove cooktop with oven, custom corian counter w/built in ice chest. Stainless sinks in galley and head. Head with toilet and sink (no shower). Lots of storage. Comfortably sleeps 4. There is no dinghy. It needs a little TLC because she hasn’t been sailed in 2 years. Mostly she needs the “L” part. Boat hull is inspected and cleaned bi monthly – will need paint in about a year; right now paint is still in good condition. No rust or electrolysis, per inspection reports. Has been sailed many times to Catalina in all weathers, and up the coast of California. Was also once a Port of Los Angeles Coast Guard Auxiliary patrol vessel and was in the 1984 Olympic parade of vessels. She is seaworthy and a good, solid sail.Price is OBO and “as is”. She needs a new captain who will love her and sail her.

    Equipment on Board:

Complete inventory of equipment and related items available upon request. Yanmar 2QM15 diesel engine starts, but there may be a short somewhere. Has solar panel and 2 batteries.
