    About this Sailboat:

    Traditional, gaff rigged, double ender. Wooden varnished,white spruce pole masts. LOD 39′ plus 7′ Steel bowsprit
    Masts made newby owners, main 40 ft, mizzen 30 ft. Treated with black varnish and Epiphanes brand varnish. Main Boom is sitka spruce same treatment.

    Main, Mizzen (gaff rig) Staysail new 1997, by Kingston Sail Loft, Ontario. White Sails some small rust stains from old fittings since replaced. Material is extremely durable “Top Gun”. Staysail is a small jib, on a self tacking boom. All three in good condition.
    Foresails (2) in good condition:
    Light weather foresail larger lightweight material, 100% approx.
    Working foresail slightly smaller and heavier weight material Size 100% or less
    Gaff Tops’l Tanbark,
    Main, Mizzen and Staysail have Top Gun sail covers.
    Off season, sails always stored indoors. Rigging: Main mast rigging made and installed by owners in 2004. All stays are galvanized 7 x 19 except for forestay (1 x 19 stainless) and staysail stay (7 x 19 stainless).
    Most of the traditional running rigging blocks, halyards and sheets have been renewed or improved by the owners. Standing and Running rigging inventory complete. As gaff rig operates by block and tackle, there are no winches. Engine: Owners have sources for parts
    48 HP Fordson Major diesel tractor engine. Estimated 1960. Marine-ized by Lunenburg Foundry, Nova Scotia. Heavy duty industrial quality heat exchanger. Transmission: Borg Warner Velvet drive with heat exchanger. ‘North Sea’ aqua lift type exhaust system installed by current owner. Diesel fuel system includes 104 imperial gallon steel tank with gravity fed 9 gallon day tank. 3 fuel filters and 2 screens. Ground Tackle
    2 main anchors. ‘Spade’ rated 1st or 2nd best in all holding conditions, by Practical Sailor in the early 2000’s, which is when we bought them. They have never let us down and we anchor 95% of the time.
    Main anchor, is 75 lb mild steel Spade, with 150 feet of 3/8 BBB chain and 150 feet of rode.
    Second anchor is 35 lb aluminium Spade, identical in design but lighter to handle. Manufacturer claims it holds as well in almost all conditions. We use for a bahamian moor and occasionally as primary. It has 25 feet of chain and 250 feet of heavy rode. Spare 70 lb Fisherman Anchor and spare smaller Danforth type anchor stowed below
    Bowsprit anchor roller/stowage system custom built on Moon River by Murray Yachts. Windlass
    Electric Ideal windlass with gypsy and chain brake, mounted on heavy deck pad with pipe through deck leading to anchor well. Second anchor rode stores in deck box.
    Electronic Equipment:
    Furuno Radar mounted on Mizzen mast. Monitor in galley. Works very well. Raytheon midweight tiller-type Autohelm auto pilot mounts on emergency tiller.
    Raymarine depth transducer and knot log with single Tri-Data head in the cockpit. VHF Radio. Engine-Driven Alternators and Starter System. Engine ignition and electric windlass operate on 24 volts. House operates on 12 volts.
    1 x 12 volt alternator, 1 x 24 volt alternator and 1 x 24 volt heavy duty engine starter and solenoid all serviced early 2011.
    “Heart ” system regulates 12 volt battery system with monitor in galley electrical panel.
    Dickinson ‘Newport’ kerosene cabin heater fuelled by gravity. Galley area rebuilt 2007, force 10, 3-burner stove top propane. Engel 64 quart AC/DC fridgd installed on quarter brth, 2008. Domestic fresh and salt water with heavy pumps and pressure tanks. Two Rule bilge pumps 3500 gallon/hour each. Mostly new tinned marine grade heavy duty wiring, terminals busses, swithches. Panel rebuilt 2007, access in galley. Head, new 2005 Jabsco, flushes to stainless holding tank, Y valve to deck or ocean. Jabsco macerator pump.
