  2. 1971 SouthCoast Daysailer

    About this Sailboat:

For sale is my 1971 Southcoast 23 sailboat along with a tandem axle trailer w/electric brakes and an adjustable steel cradle. For an additional 200 I can include a set of sailboat stands. The boat is a Carl Alberg classic in very good condition. I purchased her in a suburb of Boston and had her shipped to Lake Oneida, where I sailed her for a season and a half. I then unstepped the mast and traveled through the erie canal system to the Hudson and down to Kingston where she was berthed on the rondout creek for the rest of the second season. I purchased a tandem axle trailer and cradle so I could store her next to my house in the Catskills (Gilboa). I have since purchased another boat and need to let this one go. I am keeping the new motor I bought to use with my new boat but will include an evinrude outboard that was given to me in a trade a few years ago. I have never run the motor but it is not seized and should start with a good cleaning and tune up…though I suppose it is possible that it won’t, either. The interior cushions have just been reupholstered and the cabin painted. It comes with things like bumpers, lines, boat hook, handheld marine radio, assorted hardware, etc. The price of 3200 is for everything. If you just want the boat and cradle, I will sell them for 2500 and the trailer can be used to deliver them to a marina with your tow vehicle where it can be lifted off. Another option would be that I deliver the boat to your marina for a per mile fee.
