    About this Sailboat:

    The Manta 40 was elected “Boat of the Year 2001” all categories by the Cruising World magazine.
    This is a cruising cat for serious long term cruisers and rigged for single handing.
    This boat is a 1998 model; US built. She is registered in Canada.
    She is Solar self-sufficient. Loaded with offshore gear, she has along with a B&G network, a SSB HF radio with Pactor III modem and a Sat phone with data interface.
    She got a new mast, boom & vang in 2007, plus New Doyle self-tacking jib & main in 2005.
    There are two in board Diesel 30HP Volvo Penta
    SCOLA has been meticulously maintained and is 100% ready for cruising the Caribbean and beyond.

    Sails/Rigging: Doyle main with 2-single reefs, Doyle self-tacking jib, Spinnaker. Manta 42 mast, boom, and vang.
    Engines/Dinghy: Two Volvo 30-hp diesel engines (2060 hrs.) with sail drives, Apex 10’ rigid inflatable with a Yamaha 15HP.
    Anchoring: Integral stainless steel anchor, connector and chain (60 yards).
    Navigation: Networked B&G instruments and hydraulic ram auto pilot. Furuno 821 LCD radar.
    Telecoms: SGC 2000 HF Transceiver with a 18′ Shakespeare antenna for worldwide access to Email and weather fax. Galaxy Satellite Phone with data interface, Shipmate VHF with Antenna on top of the mast.
    Electricity: Six 75W solar panels, Air-X wind generator, 110 volts inverter, 345 AH 12 volts House Battery Bank.
    Water: PowerSurvivor (3.5 Gals. per hour) Water Maker. Pressure hot/cold water in Galley and Bathrooms.
    LP Gas: 20 Gals. LPG aluminum bottle with a remote shut-off valve.
    Safety: Sat Beacon, Zodiac Life Raft, auto and manual bilge pumps, IOR perch, Jack lines.
