  1. 1982 Johnson Boat Works M Scow

    November 3, 2012 by EVAN

    About this Sailboat:

This is a fun, very fast 16 foot scow.

This boat was built for racing and was initially owned and sailed by the University of Minnesota racing team.

My sons and daughter are grown and gone and I have too many toys so have to sell it. It sails very well, very fast in moderate winds. I sailed it three times this summer.

    Equipment on Board:

Fiberglass hull in great shape. Aluminum mast and boom. Dual sideboards and dual rudders. Boat is fitted with boom vang pulley system, cunningham, barber hauler, traveler, jib and main sheet downhalls, main sail outhall, and spinnaker pole. Two sets of sails that are older but do not have holes.

Trailer with spare wheel and tire is in very good shape.

  3. 1979 Johnson Boat Works M16

    October 6, 2011 by EVAN

    About this Sailboat:

For sale is a 1979 Johnson Boat Works M16 in great condition. This 16′ scow is a blast to sail and is ready to go right now. The boat is designed for a crew of two, however it could be sailed singlehanded by someone who knows what they are doing. Sailing an M16 is not difficult. When I bought the boat 4 years ago, I knew nothing about sailing. After one time out with a friend who has extensive sailing experience and a few times more in lighter winds, I could confidently handle the boat. I’d love to keep this little gem longer, but am moving to an area without a suitable lake and less garage space. The lucky new owner will be delighted with the features of this boat.

    Equipment on Board:

    1) Trailer with new tires and spare set of “serviceable” wheels and tires.
    2) Main sail and jib in good condition.
    3) High quality, Harken deck gear.
    4) Cockpit storage box.
    5) Parking space at Miller’s Bay (Menominee Park, Oshkosh) – Space is reserved for the remaining summer of 2011.
