  1. 1976 Dreadnought 32 Flush Deck

    October 19, 2012 by EVAN

    About this Sailboat:

This is not a yacht but not a project boat either.
Stoutly built. transverse lay-up (hull 1&1/8″ thick all around) with balsa core above the waterline. 3″ of isulation between ceilings and hull in the main salon.
This is a take on the Tahiti Ketch with about 300 sq ft. more sail area as designed by Bill Crealock. An actual cutter and good sailor with a max hull speed of 7.9

    THE GOOD:
Original factory aluminum spars in great shape.
    Strong re-built Perkins 4107 w 48 hrs. Paperwork on re-build available.
New foredeck and entire deck stripped sealed and covered with 2 layers 6 oz biaxial cloth, 3 coats of pro-line 2 part deck paint and sanded with #24 playbox sand(not shown in photos, happy to send more pics).
Excellent sail collection includes a like new North cruising spin with sock and
Hood Vectran mainsail used only three times.
New 4″ cushions in king sized quarterberth.
Proffessionaly installed electrical systems with Xantrex freedomm 3000 inverter.420Ah battery capacity in 4 6 volt golf carts (house) and one Group 27(start)
Newly built (shown in recent pic)starboard nav station with stowage
New uppers and stays w Norseman fittings.
New boomkin and boomkin whisker stays.
Walker Bay w hypalon Rib kit
Lightly used, installed(to spec)and working Shipmate woodburning stove.

    THE BAD:
Price reflects the need for more work.Cutter rig needs installing. I have the wire and the norseman fitting for the forestay. Need to add running backs for which all factory deck fitings and hounds are in place. Needs rebuild of the fuel injector pump because of a blown governor. Some interior work yet to be finished but all spaces are useable as is. The galley is not great and needs work. The king sized port aft quarter berth/cabin needs some aesthetic finish work.

    THE UGLY:
Needs termiting (no real structural damage but needs attention) and a bottom job.

    Equipment on Board:

    Other than that listed above:
VHF radio w mast mount antenna
    Orca LED masthead nav lights
    Sony Stereo.
Furuno 16 mile radar (needs installation)
Hot water heater (electric and heatexchanger from engine)
    Pressure water system.
Shower feature with sump in forward located head
    100 gallons water on centerline
    18 gallons fuel
