    About this Sailboat:

    46 Ft Creekmore Project Sailboat

    Estate Sale Item

The former owner of this Creekmore 46 ft Center Cockpit GRP fixed keel sailboat succumbed to a protracted illness before completing construction. This boat was designed to be a do it yourself project that when completed would allow him and his wife to sail in waters throughout the World. The boat was purchased as a hull and has had the main components installed and is ready for gelcoat and interior finishing and rigging. This boat is truly a diamond in the rough.

    The hull dimensions are

    LOA: 45′ 5”
    LWL: 33′ 3”
    Beam: 13′ 0”
    Draft: 5′ 8”

Design displacement is 31,000 lbs with 11,200 lbs of poured lead ballast. The hull casting is stiffened with ¾ “ plywood rather than the more common balsa core as is usual for such boats. Rear stateroom could accommodate a king sized bed. Salon has around 6 ½ ‘ of headroom.

The boat has a new Westerbeke 71 Hp 71B marine diesel with Hirth reverse gear and a 1 ¼ stainless steel shaft. There is also a custom fabricated wheel and manual hydraulic steering system installed, along with a GRP rudder on a 1 3/4” Stainless steel stock and custom stainless steel skeg. An 80 gallon fuel tank and 100 gallons of fresh water tank storage have been installed under the galley sole. The galley includes a Tasco three burner stainless steel propane stove on gimbals. Hot water heater is installed. Electrical panels have been wired and are in place to provide both 12 VDC and 120 VAC. The boat has winches, windlasses and fittings for the rigging installed. The boat has been floated to assess seals and was found to be sea worthy. The project when completed will be a vessel worthy of sailing round the world which was the late owners objective. Asking price $25,000. All serious inquiries considered.

  9. 1978 creekmore 34

    October 16, 2012 by EVAN

    About this Sailboat:

Lee Creekmore designed the 34 to be a good sailing boat but with great space and head room. The boat interiors were usually finished by the buyer. The boat sails great and has plenty of storage and room for my wife and 7 month old. We just finished sailing the boat from Mexico to N. Chessapeake Bay and plan a trip to Maine next summer. The interor on this boat was done by a very good carpenter. The cabnetry is teak with louvered doors thrughout making the boat feel warm and classic. The rigging, fore and aft chain plates were replaced 2 years ago when I planned my trip to Mexico. The Yanmar diesel powers a 3 blade feathering propeller for ample power when you need it. The boat is in good working order. Most of the equipment has been renewed or replace in the last 4 years.

    Equipment on Board:

45 hp Yanmar diesel, 3.5kw diesel genset, 16,000BTU AC/Heat, Raymarine Tridata, Furuno GPS31,Standard VHF with cockpit remote microphone, 3 solar panels, Air Marine wind generator, Heart 2000 inverter/charger, Adler Barbour refrigerator, New 155% genoa and mainsail, good 135%,Yankee and cutter sail, Harken furler, Asymmetrical drifter, Navico tiller pilot, dodger and bimini top.
