  8. 1994 Corsair F24 Mark 1

    October 18, 2012 by EVAN

    About this Sailboat:

The boat is in good condition. It has three “new” (2007 – 2009) sails. The mainsail is transparent Aramid LoadTech with blue kevlar tapes. The jib is the same material with gold tapes. The screacher is opaque Taffeta with blue kevlar tapes. These three sails were made recently by Sail Technologies of St. Petersburg. The main furls around the boom in the same design as all Corsair boats. The jib and screacher are roller furled. There is an asymetrical spinnaker in nylon with snuffer. The original main (a very used mess) and a very used Calvert jib are available. The sail number is #132.
The frame of the trailer is in good condition. The brakes rusted out and have been removed. The leaf springs are rusty. The hubs & wheels are recent and in good condition. I keep the boat on the trailer, mast up, in a “dry slip,” where the launch ramp is adjacent to the parking lot storage area. This slip in Gulfport Florida is available. The bottom is painted with ablative antifouling paint.

The price is $28,500 with new brakes and leaf springs for the trailer, or $27,500 as is. I can deliver the boat AFTER it is sold and the buyer has made insurance arrangements.

Pell Mell is reluctantly for sale because I wish to return to long distance cruising. This is not the appropriate boat. Pelly is a great daysailer, and we have spent one or two nights aboard now & again, but she is not a liveaboard. Pelly is a great sailing boat, often reaching speeds over ten knots. Money may not buy happiness, but it can buy EXHILARATION.

    Equipment on Board:

The Sunset Company nets date from 2005. The 6hp Nissan outboard is from 2005. The nav lights are LED. There is a Raymarine tiller autopilot. The bimini top is delicate, used only in light summer winds. There is a new raymarine knotmeter, a depth sounder, a bulkhead compass, and a newer Uniden VHF with masthead antenna. An eight foot tiller extension allows steering from the windward ama. The forward Vee Berth has an unused port-a-pottie underneath. There are two small gel cell batteries with selector switch. A Sunsei 2.5 amp solar panel charges both batteries. A fortress anchor with chain & rode are stored in a bow anchor locker. There are two self tailing winches aft on the cabintop for halyards or the working jib. Two more winches on the cockpit coaming assist in trimming the screacher or spinnaker.

  10. 2005 corsair F 28 R

    October 18, 2012 by EVAN

    About this Sailboat:

Looking for a F28-R that WILL WIN regattas or just take you for the fastest ride possible on one of these models? Then look no more, you have just found it… “Leilani” formaly raced as “Dealers Choice” took First at the 2007 Key West Race week and The 2007 Corsair Nationals… Then was purchased in May 2007 as a dealer demo. Wanting to be sure to have the fastest 28-R on the course, and even though it had the proven winning record, after acquiring “Leilani” we built a complete duplicate NEW SET of NORTH 3DL SAILS including the Main, Jib, Screacher and Spinnaker. we then had the hull compounded/waxed, faired and added a New Randy Smyth racing rudder, also replaced was all the running rigging/halyards with upsized/upgraded spectra line. It has a new Tohatsu 9.8 Outboard (only used twice). OVER 20K SPENT in late 2007 with all the above listed upgrades and improvements.
This rocket ship has only been out twice since purchase. One time with another 28R owner learning some rigging and sailing tips and then for only one regatta last year after outfitting it with the new sails and doing all the work he did… (The new set of racing sails have only been used one time)

Owner is now reluctantly selling as work is keeping him too busy to race it as he had planned. The replacement cost for this one would be in the 145-150K range with all the extras, TWO COMPLETE SETS OF SAILS and all the upgrades.
