    About this Sailboat:

    Designed by Alan Payne, this Columbia 8.3, Model 279, PATRIOTIC DREAM, is a performance cruiser with spacious accommodations and lots of stowage areas. It features 6’-0” headroom in the cabin and sleeps four

    CONDITION
    This boat is in fair condition.
    PLEASE NOTE: This boat has a boom but needs a mast and standing rigging. Crowley’s Yacht Yard Lakeside, where the boat is located, has a used mast for sale that could possibly be modified to replace the missing mast.
    Additionally, the tiller and the sliding companionway hatch boards should be replaced. There may be water leakage from the port and starboard cabin port lights. The bow pulpit is slightly bent. Galley sink throughhull is broken in the “off” position.
    Cradle is not included.
    This boat was last sailed in 2006.

    It may be inspected at Crowley’s Yacht Yard Lakeside at 3434 East 95th St, Chicago, IL. To arrange an appointment, please contact Nautical Donations.

    About this Sailboat:

    This was our starter boat and the family is now ready to move up to something larger.

    This yacht is in exceptional condition.

    Sailboat is now for sale at $20,500 or we would consider using it as partial trade to a larger mono or catamaran (38′ to 50′ range) for someone looking at downsizing

    Beautiful and exceptional Columbia 8.3 Wide body Super Cruiser.

    Extremely well maintained. Brand new teak and holly cabin sole, fresh bottom, new bimini, new lazyjacks, mnew Mackpack, upgraded rigging as well as many other new and upgraded items.

    This pocket yacht is in exceptional condition.

    Well documented maintenance. All the teak and bright work has been redone. Beautiful teak interior… Recent survey.

    Boat is in the water and ready and in sail away condition.

    She is well maintained and well documented… Complete survey and spec sheet available.

    Equipment on Board:

    All her systems are current in maintenance and in excellent and serviceable condition.

    Yanmar 2QM15 diesel has been serviced every 50 hours, and currently has less than 800 original hours.

    She is a large 27 footer that has a traditional interior with basic amenities and electronics.

    She has been set up for single handling, and been sailed extensively offshore.

    Never been involved in an accident or damaged by storm.

    She was hauled for bottom paint and survey in Feb 2011.

    About this Sailboat:

    1978 Columbia 8.7 sloop powered by a Yanmar 15 diesel engine and with tiller steering. Two year old mainsail, 7 year old headsail on a Harken roller furling. Brand new New England Rope sta-set 9mm jib sheets (70 feet each), and 9mm main halyard (82 feet). Both batteries are new, house and starter. Brand new Racor primary fuel filter unit installed in November 2010. All interior cushions were just redone in November 2010. Brand new Raymarine ST60 series Autopilot installed in November 2010, which is linked to the Garmin 182C GPS/Chartplotter with colorscreen. Sale will also include an 8 foot AVON dinghy with a 2 horsepower outboard motor.

    NOTES:
    – headsail is pretty worn and should probably be replaced.
    – bow pulpit is bent a bit to the starboard side, not enough to affect the headsail, but should be removed, straightened, and reinstalled.
    – port side bow docking cleat is broken off, no damage to the deck or mounting screws, but will need to be replaced.
