    About this Sailboat:

    Beautiful and dependable, ready for cruising. 44 hp Diesel. Pullman berth with custom mattress. Hot and cold pressurized water, hurricane furnace, refrigerator. 3 staterooms, two heads, nice shower in forward head. Walk through transom with shower on the swim step. 6.5 ft head room in cabin. 3 burner propane stove with full size oven. Double galley sink. 4 speaker radio with 6 CD deck. The cockpit is fully enclosed with canvas and has a teak folding binnacle table. All halyards run to the cockpit for ease of single handed sailing.

    About this Sailboat:

    1978 Catalina, 27 foot standard rig sailboat introduced in 1970 ranked 15 out of the top 75 most popular boat builders, it is a fine example of well known sloops. LOA 26′ 10″, beam 8′ 10″, draft 4′ with a transferable title. I am selling her for $2,500 negotiable to avid sailors or beginners looking for a responsive but forgiving starter boat or liveaboard. This Catalina is in very nice shape. Vessel was recently hauled May 1, 2012. Bottom is in good condition and repainted with softcoat annual paint, has tiller steering, dinette model with full set of interior cushions. This boat sleeps 5, large enough for overnight trips, and fast enough for racing in the bay. Interior cabin has complete headroom. Head in good shape with 30 gallon holding tank, 20 gallon fresh water tank with foot pump for galley sink where you will find the icebox w/teak cover. It also has a hang locker in the cabin. There is a danforth anchor, life jackets, 2 fire extinguishers, 1 main sail, 2 genoa sails, single marine battery w/1.5amp trickle charger, standard depth sounder, an 8hp Mariner-2 stroke outboard, manual start, tiller style, outboard motor, with the gear shifter built into the tiller handle twist grip. This is convenient if you want to add an extention kit. This motor is light weight at 75lbs. I have tested this motor and it runs perfect. It pumps water, shifts into gear, accelerates, idles, and starts great. Ready for cruising the Islands or family weekends. Turn key boat- get ready to sail! Slip may be available with marina management approval.

    About this Sailboat:

    1993 Catalina 28 Island Series masthead sloop. Tall Rig – 396 sq ft sail area, wing keel, 18 HP Universal M3-20 Diesel with 472 hours. 4 opening ports, 3 opening hatches allow for excellent ventilation through-out the cabin. Sleeps a total of 6 – Vee Berth forward, port and starbord settees, aft double berth. 6′-1″ headroom throughout. Fully enclosed head with hot/cold running water. Galley features a 2.87 cuft ice box, two burner gimballed propane stove and oven. SS sink with hot/cold pressurized water. Water heater has a 6-gallon capacity. Plenty of counter space and storage.

    Equipment on Board:

    Boat is equipped with a fully batten main, 135% roller furling genoa, all sail controls lead to cockpit. Rig is a double spreader masthead with SS rigging. All standing and running rigging replaced 2004. Danforth anchor with chain and rode mounted on roller. Lewmar winches: 2 – #20 jib sheets and 2-#16 main and jib halyards.

    Boat has been well maintained and spent 1993 through 2004 on fresh water Lake Lanier in Georgia. Boat is reguarly cleaned by professional diver. Fuel consumption approximately 0.5 – 0.75 gallons per hour. AC/DC shore power, lighting in key locations throughout cabin. Cruiseair portable AC unit included.     Beautiful, spacious, wide berth sailboat perfect for family day sailing, entertaining and sleepovers! Includes 2012 dock at marina on Canandaigua Lake! Features a teak wood interior, Galley, Head and Aft sleeping berths. Equipped with a 2006 Yamaha 9.9 hp outboard motor. It is a shoal draft, wing keel design with sugar scoop transom. The Galley contains a large insulated ice box, two-burner propane stove, a sink and chopping block insert, fresh water system & ample storage space. Over-sized double berth aft and a bunk for kids forward. The whole main cabin seating area converts to a huge berth. Interior marine fabric cushions in excellent shape.
