    About this Sailboat:

The Perfect Family Cruiser and Live Aboard.

Searcher is a 57 foot Bowman ketch. She’s fast, safe and comfortable in all kinds of weather, roomy, and easy to sail, even single handed. Five cabins, three heads, ten births.

We just completed a year’s Caribbean cruise with our family of 4. Searcher needs a little paint and some mechanical attention that is reflected in the below market price, but she’s ready to head off on a circumnavigation, or another Caribbean cruise. Book value $250,000. Priced to sell at $135,000.

What makes this Bowman the “Perfect Family Boat” is the use of space, on deck and bellow. Large mid-ship cockpit, large aft-deck for the dinghy or the kids, roomy foredeck, below she has 5 private cabins, four with double-bunk. There’s space for a crew of 2 forward with their own head and shower. There are two cabins amidships, each with upper and lower bunks. A second head with shower services these cabins. The saloon, amidships, has a pilot berth, used mostly for storage except when underway on a long voyage, when it is a berth for a crew member. The salon table can seat 6 comfortably, or sleep a kid or two. There is a large and efficient gallery to starboard, and a large navstation / ship’s office to port. The navstation provides access to the owner‘s aft cabin with two bunks, which can be made into a queen bed, plus separate head and shower stall.

    Equipment on Board:
