    About this Sailboat:

1959 Beetle Cat for sale (#756). For those who are unfamiliar, the Beetle Cat has been built of wood since 1921. It is a gaff rigged catboat 12’4” long by 6’ wide. It is extremely stable and fun to sail. Many thousands of children in the New England area have learned to sail on a Beetle, including the Kennedys. They are prized by their owners and are considered heirlooms by many. This boat has had much work done on it in the last year with the aim of using it as a trailer sailor, so there is no swelling to deal with every time the boat is launched. It is in “ready to go” condition awaiting a new owner. You may purchase a new Beetle today similarly equipped for about $19,000. Just Google “beetle cat” and check them out.
