  1. 1996 Beachcomber Beachcomber-Alpha Dory

    October 19, 2012 by EVAN

    About this Sailboat:

This is a type of Beachcomber Dory extremely popular in early 1900s. It was designed by William Chamberlain in 1903, for the Beachcomber Club of Marblehead, MA. This has the original type of triangular sails, a Leg-o-mutton rig. This is a wooden boat with epoxied and glassed bottom. It is in excellent condition and sails well. The boat has spent its existence out of the water when not being sailed, and under a cover, as far as I can tell. I have found this model on line in later model years ranging from 14,000 to 20,000.

    Equipment on Board:

Brand new sails summer of 2011.
New entire custom boat cover 2011. All wooden parts in excellent condition, no rot or evidence of any decaying wooden components. The white paint on the bottom could use some slight touch up or better still, repainted.
