  1. 2005 American Sail 14.6

    February 19, 2013 by EVAN

    About this Sailboat:

This sailboat is very stable centerboard boat used mostly in the ocean and nearby lakes. The fiberglass centerboard is weighted but easy to lift and drop. The boom with sail raised is high enough to clear passengers heads. in effect at one time there was a small bimini on it and the mounts are still on boat. Bimini no longer exists. I have added boom vang bungi and boom support line. I have sailed it all over Florida but mostly offshore out of Hillsboro inlet and Ft Lauderdale inlet. You actually sail inside boat sitting down not hanging over side. I have enjoyed this sailboat very much. Boat is clean and shiny but not new. send email with phone # to solarfry@yahoo.com.

    About this Sailboat:

The American 14.6 is designed for the beginning sailor or those who are seeking a large, stable sloop that offers hassle-free sailing. This sturdy, deep-cockpit daysailer features a 6-foot 2-inch beam, glass kick-up rudder, weighted glass centerboard, and a large built-in storage compartment under the deck. The large cockpit offers room for four adults with generous freeboard, comfortable seats and backrest, and includes locations for two drink coolers at the end of the seats. The hull is designed to be 80-percent self-bailing, and floats high in the water with a minimum 4-inch draft when empty. Simplicity is enhanced with color-coded main and jib lines, and features simple up and down colored lines for centerboard control. The tabernacle mast allows for quick stepping and easy retrieval at the end of the day. The American 14.6 is also equipped with an advanced rudder system that can be raised or lowered from the cockpit and is designed to kick-up and spring down as necessary. The main and jib contain 112 square feet of Dacron sail which – combined with the wide beam, hard chine, and flat bottom hull – performs well in light breezes or a stiff wind. The American 14.6 is recognized as an extremely stable, large, dry, daysailer providing fun for all ages. This boat is constructed of hand-laid fiberglass with closed cell floatation and non-skid flooring in the cockpit. Anodized spars and Harken blocks among other quality parts assure years of maintenance free use for the new owner. 5. American Sail Aqua Cat

    October 5, 2011 by EVAN

    About this Sailboat:

For sale is a 12.5 ft Aqua Cat Catamaran with a Cox trailer. The catamaran has been garage kept for the past four years and has never actually been taken out within that time period. The catamaran is in GREAT condition. There is no rust, all of the equipment is in good condition, and it is definitely ready to go out on the water. The catamaran includes a patch-free sail, centerboards, rudder/tiller, trampoline, and custom made hull extenders that increase stability in rough waters. This catamaran would be ideal for bay sailing or similar conditions- it is rugged and can handle lots of wind. The trailer that is included has a new coat of paint on it and is in good condition as well. The trailer passed MD state inspection in 2007 and currently has a registration. An extra spare tire is included. The price is negotiable; I will consider most offers. Delivery is possible. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to e-mail.

    Equipment on Board:

Catamaran, centerboards, tiller, lines, sail, trailer….everything you need to sail it.
