    About this Sailboat:

Rare chance to own a yard built ‘Joshua’ ketch in good condition( Her lapstrake construction steel hull is true round with a wine glass profile and a long keel. She is a double ender with an external transom hung rudder, tiller controlled. No leaks in the hull and no corrosion. She was built for long distance heavy weather cruising at any latitiude. She has had two owners in her 38 years. I sailed her from Florida to Mexico last winter without serious problems. She is 40 feet on the deck and 53 feet with bow sprit and solar arch. She has a strong, leak and smoke free, 80hp Perkins with low hours; an AC fridge; Corian work surfaces; original wood lined interior in good shape; U shaped galley (twin sinks) opposite large nav table; two water tight bulkheads; Goiot hatches, port lights, winches and deck gear; good stainless; insulated solid wood covered head lining; new head; good professional wiring. I have just spent a month working on her and completely painted her. See pics. When we scraped off the old top coat we found her hull to be in good condition with little or no sign of corrosion even where small areas of bare metal were exposed. She must have been shot metalized or galvanized in some way when built. No corrosion on deck even under the toe rail. Yard said she was the best steel hull they had seen. Bilges are clean and dry with original paint. Please note offers on our asking price are not presently invited. Thanks for your interest.

    Equipment on Board:

Laloubi is a lot of boat; she has a first class pedigree, is well set up, less maintenance, stronger, safer, and more capable than many boats with higher prices. She is an excellent comfortable live aboard. Most pictures here were taken Oct 11 in Mexico. Email for more pics and information.
