1998 Westerly Oceanquest 35

17 October, 2012 by EVAN

About this Sailboat:

Not often available (especially in the States), the Westerly Oceanquest is a quality cruiser from the renowned British builder Westerly Yachts.

Typical of the relationship between Westerly and renowned designer Ed Dubois, the Oceanquest 35 combines Westerly’s flair for interior design and styling with the proven expertise of one of the world’s top yacht designers. Traditional in style, well balanced and supremely seaworthy, she will provide a rewarding turn of speed.

A high standard of finish and attention to detail throughout demonstrates Westerly’s modern style while retaining the company’s traditional values of craftsmanship and luxury. “Blue Diamond” is a fine example of her type.

Telling of this quality is the fact that we have had a number of buyers come all the way from England to purchase Westerly’s from us, sailing them back home proudly. Built to Lloyd’s specifications, these are all ocean worthy boats that I personally would have no qualms sailing across the ocean in. They are just one of those boats that will take care of you if you can’t take care of yourself.

With the interior space one would expect to find on a forty footer, this is a spacious family cruiser, easily handled by a couple, well proven as a serious passage maker. Shoal draft, with a centerline master berth aft, “Blue Diamond” is an unusual find, well maintained and certainly worthy of your personal inspection.
