1997 Hunter 376

19 October, 2012 by EVAN

About this Sailboat:

The 376 is one of Hunter’s most popular mid-sized cruisers, known for its excellent sailing and handling characteristics and a roomy interior that lives like a much larger boat.

The Margaux sleeps 7 with two private staterooms and a large dining table that converts to a double berth. The forward stateroom offers a generously-sized v-berth, cedar lined closet, sink and vanity. The owner’s aft stateroom features a queen sized berth with custom mattress, cedar lined closet, abundant storage, vanity, private access to head, and separate air conditioning unit.

The salon is spacious, light and bright with large, wraparound dinette, beautiful high-gloss table, tons of storage, nav station, and a comfy settee to stretch out and watch the wall-mounted flat screen TV. For ultimate comfort at the dock, the Margaux has two air conditioning units, in the salon and the aft stateroom.

An L-shaped galley includes Corian countertops, top-loading Alder Balbour refrigerator and freezer, double SS sink, 3-burner LP stove and oven, built-in microwave and trash chute.

The head, accessible from the salon and owner’s stateroom, features easy-to-clean surfaces, a mirrored medicine cabinet and separate shower.

The huge cockpit includes a walk-through transom with swim platform and telescoping ladder, teak stern rail seats, drop down tables, cushions, and newer Bimini (2010).

With most of the sail handling lines leading to the cockpit, 44ST and three 40ST Lewmar winches located on the coach roof, mid-mast mainsheet traveler system, Dutchman, and roller furled jib, the Margaux makes it easy and enjoyable a couple or even a single-handler to sail.

Ground tackle includes 45# CQR anchor with chain and rode, secondary Danforth with spare road, and electric windlass.
