Magic is the finest example of the very popular Catalina 28 MK II. She is truly a sailor’s dream. well equipped and maintained, with the shallow draft wing keel. Equipment on Board:
The cockpit is truly spacious and comfortable. It’s surrounded by a wrap-around stainless rail with two built-in seats and a swim ladder. The cockpit is equipped with two Lewmar #30 self-tailing winches to handle the jib sheets, it also has two Lewmar #16 self-tailing winches accompanied by six jam cleats on the cabin top to handle the halyards and various sail lines, all designed to keep the cockpit uncluttered. There is an Edson Binnacle/helm mounted with the engine controls and instrument cluster, as well as an Autohelm depth sounder, Garmin 45XL removable GPS and Ritchie Compass. There is ample storage throughout the cockpit. The propane locker and emergency manual bilge pump are located on the port side with the 30 AMP shore power receptacle just aft.
The fully enclosed head located to port, includes a sink, mirrored vanity, Jabsco manual toilet, hot & cold pressure faucet/shower head.
The well laid-out galley is to starboard, with ample counter space, stainless sink, separate lockers & drawers for utensils, pots & pans, a dry food storage and a gimbaled stainless steel stove & oven.
The main cabin with 6′ headroom, is well appointed and extremely spacious with settees port & starboard, a fold-out dining table in the center and rich wood paneling throughout. There are book shelves & storage both port and starboard. The icebox, electrical panel, VHF radio and entertainment center are located to port. Natural light and ventilation abounds with two Bowmar overhead opening hatches and a solar powered ventilating fan.
