The Beneteau First 265 is a fast and comfortable racer/cruiser known for its varnished
cherry interior and superior ventilation. Buck Aye comes with many upgrades and a
comprehensive equipment list. She has proven herself on extended cruises and
performed well around the buoy racing. The custom trailer built in 2009 adds to her
versatility by permitting road travel and transportation for winter storage.

Accommodations
The Aft cabin to port of the companionway features a comfortable double berth, a
hanging locker and additional storage. An easy to clean marine head is to starboard with
a shower and sink both with hot/cold water. Moving forward is the nav station, salon
seating for five and a large V-berth. Ventilation is provided by eight opening ports, one
deck hatch and a Hella fan in the aft cabin. The interior features cheery woodwork.
Galley
The galley comes complete with a two burner Origo alcohol stove, a large ice box and a
deep round stainless steel sink. There is ample storage for provisions. Hot and cold

1. Main Doyle dacron crosscut 1993 with two reef points and full battens. Good
cruising sail. No rips or tears
2. 105 UK dacron 1993 headsail in excellent condition. Has been used
infrequently. Has Sunbrella cover on leech and foot
3. 135 Polaris dacron radial 1993 headsail. Great cruising sail. No rips or tears.

4. 150 North dacron laminate radial headsail. Like new. Used only for racing.

Rigging
Primary winches added to cockpit (16 ST Lewmar self tailing). This is a
significant improvement over the factory design, which used the cabin top
winches as the genoa winches. This change includes custom jib track cars with
Garhauer cars and replacing the standard cabin top tracks with teak handrails.
The workmanship for this customization is first rate and is indistinguishable
from a factory installation
