1990 J Boats 37c

About this Sailboat:

“C” Model of the J 37 is the perfect performance cruiser, club racer and New England distance racer. UFO (wing) keel goes like a banshee down wind and, with the right sail configuration, points beautifully. YRA LIS PHRF rating is 84. She is easy to sail short-handed or solo The main has Dutchman and fast track systems with a Hathaway’s Kevlar Main and #1. The #2 and #3’s are cruising sails. All spin gear is in good condition. Rod rigging, all wire running rigging and halyards replaced with Spectra. Lines are led aft into Spinlocks. Radar, GPS and depth sounder integrated into chart plotter at nav station, independent redundant GPS in cockpit. All the expected gear and extras are on board and included. The bottom line is that she’s in great boat in very good shape. You can comfortably go on a family cruise to Nantucket as well as do Wednesday night beer can races and the Block Island and Vineyard races. I never did it, but with the right crew, she’d be fine going down to Bermuda and the Caribbean. The new owner will need to redo the cushions, dodger, refinish the sole and get a new #2 (primary cruising sail on roller fuller) cut at some point in the next couple of years. All safety gear (jack lines, harness pfd’s, etc.) is included. I also have a 9’ RIB with a Merc outboard if interested. The boat is on the hard in South Norwalk now, she’ll be going in the water during the next couple of weeks. I am happy to make any reasonable delivery with the new owner. Please e-mail if interested as there has been a fair amount of custom work done.
