1990 Bruce Roberts Offshore 38

5 October, 2011 by EVAN

About this Sailboat:

This professionally-built Roberts 38 has been sailed all over the North and South Pacific. Its mast is three ft longer than the original specs to give it extra oomph in light wind. ‘Sialis’ was sailed single-handed to Panama and is berthed in the Bocas del Toro Marina in the W Caribbean. Fully-equipped for extended cruising with a super set of North sails, Sialis has lovely interior woodwork and extra-size water and fuel tanks. The aft cabin features a giant berth and ample storage. The steel hull is extra-thick and double-laminate cabin roof ensures no condensation. Sialis is a fine hard-chine fin keel cruiser-racer designed with the Caribbean in mind and these have been sailed all round the world. At $39,000 she is priced to sell and ready to go.

Equipment on Board:

‘Sialis’s’ mast is extra-strong with double stays and adjustable back-stays. The jibs and genoa are clip-on. The VW marinized Rabbit produces a steady 6 knots. Full set of anchors and chains. Extra-strength North sails in fine condition.
