About this Sailboat:
Classic Trailerable Sailboat for Sale!
A great value for sailors looking to buy a comfortable, fast weekend boat. We have loved this boat and have spent countless hours touring the San Diego Bay!
The MacGregor 26D has no fixed ballast but adds 1,200 pounds of water in the ballast tank between the cabin and the hull that fills at launch when the valve is opened. When you’re ready to pull her out, you simply ease her out of the water and let the ballast drain. Because this boat uses water ballast and a removable daggerboard they weigh less than many other weekenders and are easily trailerable. Dry, the MacGregor 26D and its trailer weigh less than 2000 lbs which puts it in the range of tow capacity for some mid-sized cars (we pull her with a Rav4).
MacGregor 26D is a lightweight, fast boat, especially downwind. With the daggerboard up, you can beach her since she draws only 15 inches of water. You can easily explore areas where traditional sailboats can’t go!
This all around clean boat is ready for the water right now! We have taken very good care of her and hope to find her a new family that enjoys her as much as we do!
Appointments to view her are available for Tues, July 24. Please email or call, (# removed) to set up a time to meet in Coronado.
