About this Sailboat:
1987 Catalina 22, $5,500
Great galvanized trailer, almost new outboard motor. I sailed it this season and the boat is currently rigged and ready to go! Boat storage paid through November. I would like to sell before then, so please come and look at the boat!
Special features:
6 HP Tohatsu outboard, new in 2008, barely broken in! Very reliable. 4 stroke motor is relatively quiet and very fuel efficient.
Galvanized Performance trailer, new in 2006, great condition. Galvanized trailers are essential in the Chesapeake painted trailers rust quickly. This trailer has an extendable tongue that allow you to put boat in water without getting your car wet. Its currently registered and I have the title.
Roller furling 150 genoa with white UV cover and Schaefer Snapfurl, both new in 2010. The roller furler is great for single-handing the boat no need to go forward on the deck. If the wind picks up, reduce the sail quickly and easily from the cockpit.
Original alcohol stove, sink, water tank, porta-potty, all cabin cushions in excellent condition, interior teak trim and cabinets in excellent condition.
Sunbrella cockpit seat cushions, excellent condition
Boomkicker boom support (keeps mast from falling when you drop the main). Harken boomvang, new in 2008
Bimini (foldable shade, not shown in pictures)
Anchor with chain/rope rode. Has anchor locker (Earlier generation Catalina 22s do not).
Swing keel: This is a great for the Chesapeake only 2 foot draft when swing keel is up. You can easily anchor in 3-4 feet of water. If you run aground, just crank up the keel and sail away. Also, launching and trailering the boat is much easier with a swing keel compared to a wing keel.
