32 ft Cutter rigged steel “Tahiti Ketch” – Rock solid blue water cruiser!!

If you’re a couple looking for a capable cruiser that you can enjoy and afford. This boat will take you anywhere! You’ll be impressed with her strength and character.
She can use fresh paint on the topsides to make her shine but if you’re in the market for a serious blue water cruiser that is in ready to go condition with plenty of upgraded gear you should read on.

The boat was build in 1986 by a Navy welder to extremely high standards and outfitted with a cutter rig which is easier to handle in heavy weather and provides many sail plan options.
Besides her salty look your first impression of “Sandpiper” will be that she is not a big boat but a little ship!
Rock solid construction with 10 gauge steel, long keel, hard dodger, wide side decks, high toe rails, over dimensioned deck hardware, destroyer style front hatch and a save cockpit will keep you save in any weather.
Average cruising speed 5 knots and she makes 6 knots under power while using less than ¾ gallon of fuel/hour.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Main cabin with bunks on port and starboard side. Both bunks have lee cloths.
Forward head with shower on the port side
Drained hanging locker to starboard.
The forward cabin has a bunk to starboard and a work bench to port.
6 Opening ports with mosquito screens and optional attachable storm plates.

Forward hatch “destroyer style” with ladder to enter/exit from V-Berth
Teak and holy sole
Wood interior

GALLEY:
Gimbaled “Oregano” non-pressure alcohol stove on starboard side
Stainless sink with separate drain pump
Pressure water with hot and cold mixing faucet
Separate sea water faucet with foot pump
Spice rack

PLUMBING:
Pressurized hot/cold water for galley and sink head/shower
Manual toilet
Holding tank with Y Valve
Deck pump out and overboard discharge offshore
2 fresh water tanks approximately 60 gallons

MECHANICAL:
Universal diesel 23 HP, Hurth transmission
2 blade prop
50 Amp alternator, 60 amp spare alternator brand new.
Dual fuel filters
Complete set of spare parts for engine including fuel pump, injector nozzles, belts, gaskets, exhaust pipe, filters etc.
4 connected fuel tanks (40 gallons), all with opening ports big enough to reach your arm in for inspection/cleaning
Full keel Barn rudder
Wheel steering
Edison rack and pinion wheel steering – the most reliable system on the market
Emergency tiller
Aries Wind vane mounted on transom platform (platform currently out of wood and needs replacing)
