1984 Performance Cruising Gemini 3000

About this Sailboat:

UPDATE: 02/19/12
New cabin top work is complete.
1. MUCH better navigation visibility (a BIG issue with these Geminis).
2. Extended cover for the helmsman (new top extends 2 ft into the cockpit).
3. A platform has been created to mount 2 or 3 125-watt solar panels.
4. Creation of a water catchment system.
5. Hand rails will now be in the ideal place for accessing the top deck from the cockpit (in the prior configuration the tiny hand grabs could not really even be reached easily).
6. More headroom in the cockpit under the cover… up to 6′-2″.
7. More headroom inside – fore and aft – port to starboard – and up to 6′-3½ ” headroom in the salon.
The boat is in the Charlotte Harbor Boat Storage yard. Centerboard and trunk cleaning and painting work is complete. Both pivot bolts replaced (#316 SS) and new line. Both boards reconditioned and fully functional. Bottom paint & several small projects to be completed.
Harken roller-furling jib, fully battened main with lazy jacks. Jib with UV strip mounted, additional Genoa and extra main. Full bow rail with double lifelines to stern rails. 3 anchors mounted on individual bow rollers and anchor locker for chain and rode. Large extra gear locker on foredeck. 6’-2” x 4’-2” cockpit deck with seating on 3 sides and two large stowage lockers under seating aft. Wheel steerage. Tankage: two 38 gallon water tanks, two 18 gal fuel (gasoline) tanks, 18 gallon waste tank. Starboard Pontoon; Moving Fr forward aft; double bed Master Berth forward w/large hanging locker and shelves, large galley w/ss bowl and H/C on-demand pressure water, 3-burner propane stove w/oven, microwave, 44” wide (at opening) quarter berth. AC/propane Dometic refer with large freezer. Portside Pontoon; Moving Fr forward aft; Head: marine head & holding tank w/H/C AC/propane on-demand pressure water heater, ss bowl and shower wand. Shower sump in floor w/self-priming discharge pump. Midships: Counter w/ large locker and nav station w/chart stowage. Port Quarter: 44” wide quarter berth.
