About this Sailboat:
Our Tanzer26 is available for a new family to enjoy. This is the later model with an improved cabin layout (can make 2 double berths and a single) and long cabin windows.
This is the perfect island cruising sailboat (or racer) with a shallow draft allowing for easy moorage. It has been kept in excellent condition through its life with some substantial recent upgrades. Rigging was just redone and tuned with new halyards (wire/rope replaced with cored rope line). The bottom and keel were faired with epoxy protection in 2008. Cabin windows and forward hatch have been professionally reglazed with the original frames. The sails are crisp with furler and spinnaker (newer hank on jib as well for those that prefer that). All lines lead aft for single handed sailing.
Recent upgrades include: New Uniden VHF with remote flush installed in new cabinetry. New panel with LED lighting throughout. Newer house (AGM) and starter batteries with a rail mounted solar panel for maintenance. GPS antennae installed for cabin reception. Seaward Princess 2 burner range installed with rail mounted propane and regulator. Large polyethylene water tank.
Motor is a fully serviced and dependable electric start 9.9 Yamaha highthrust longshaft with cockpit controls added last year.
This boat has moorage in Cowichan Bay and is ready for inspection and sailing.
