1981 Stevens designed by Sparkman & Stephens Stevens 47

15 October, 2012 by EVAN

About this Sailboat:

The Stevens Custom 47 is a classic, sought after bluewater passagemaker, designed by Sparkman and Stephens. Deja Vu is a center cockpit, cutter rigged yacht built by Queen Long Marine in Taiwan. A recently installed Schaefer boom furling system with an Andersen electric winch makes for safe shorthanded sailing. Deja Vu has cruised throughout the Caribbean and is currently located in Guatemala on the Rio Dulce where she has been well maintained and recently had new bottom paint added in 2011. She is turn key ready for further cruising in the Western Caribbean and Central America.

Three staterooms and a commodious main salon as well as two complete heads each with shower make her ideal for a family or owners and crew. Having had only three owners, Deja Vu was refitted and updated by the second owner at Bennett Brothers Yachts in Wilmington, North Carolina. As a result, much of the original teak paneling was replaced with white bulkheads and accents which give her a contemporary look, including newly re-upholstered salon cushions and settees. Teak cabinets and bookshelves in the salon are a beautiful contrast to the light interior walls.

At the navigation station are single-sideband radio w/ Pactor 3 modem, flat panel monitor mounted on a flexible arm that allows DVD viewing in main salon. Deja Vu is equipped with a 16,000 BTU Marineair system (reverse cycle AC and heat).

A complete galley includes corian countertops, double stainless sinks, top loading freezer and refrigerator, microwave and Force 10 three burner range with oven.

On deck storage features a custom redesigned aft lazarrette which allows for ample storage of lines, fenders and cleaning equipment, including two inflatable kayaks.
