About this Sailboat:
Kahuna was an Admirals Cup team boat which purportedly won the Admirals Cup in the early /80’s and Prince Charles was said to be a member of the crew. She has been racing on the Great Lakes for over 20 years and has a long list of bullets and awards.
She has been actively sailed and raced by the current owner for over 15 years. Previous names were “Legend” “Dynamo” and “Yeoman”.
She is seaworthy, has one open head, galley and nav station. There is plenty of storage space.
Equipment on Board:
The yacht has 12 lewmar winches including coffee grinder and drums. A new mainsail, used #1 AP, #2, #3, #5 and 3 decent spinnakers; .6 oz downwind, .5 oz starcut and 1.5 oz.
Offshore radio, emergency tiller, 60″ wheel. raynav wind. depth, speed and log. 65′ Al mast, boom and spinnaker pole, AM/FM/CD player with cabin and cockpit speaker system. Engine runs good accompanied by hydraulic v-drive, cabin and cockpit ignition.
Hydraulic backstay, mainsheet tensioner, baby stay (hydraulic0 with cockpit panel dial controls. Manual vang, but also rigged for hydraulic vang and headstay tensioner(s).
4 dc bilge pumps with appox. 3000 gph capacity and manual bilge pump with “roaming” suction and discharge.
Retractable stainless steel swim ladder.
