About this Sailboat:

Summary: J-30 #192, Laser Beam, is ready to race and win, one-design or PHRF. Eminently cruiseable, six berths, six-foot headroom.

Condition: very good. Surveyed 2008, no softness or elevated moisture readings in hull.
Deck: mounts for fittings all isolated from balsa core rebedding with WestSystem epoxy 2003 and 2009.
Non-skid renewed 2009 with KiwiGrip.
Bottom: Grand Prix bottom by Waterline Systems in 2004-5. Finished by them to 400, painted with interprotect and VC-Offshore, wetsanded to 600 and burnished with bronze wool. Updated by Waterline in 2009. Rudder and keel updated in 2012. Still super smooth, no blistering.
Engine; original Yanmar 2GM-15, starts every time, runs smoothly. Martec folding prop. 2010 Teledyne motor-control.

Equipment on Board:

Sails: 2006 carbon #1, dacron #2 and #3 jibs. (Barely used carbon 2011 #1 and 2010 #3 also available separately), all carbon by Z-sails. 2007 class-legal main, 2004 class-legal spinnaker, still very fast. 2 other mains, 2 other spinnakers.
Rig: Original mast and boom, sheaves upgraded in 2004, new upper shrouds 2006, new forestay and Headfoil by Hathaways 2012. New main and genoa halyards for 2012.
Boomkicker, 12:1 vang. aluminum spin pole 2006. Lewmar 42ST primaries, 2009 Harken 32 secondaries.
Electronics: TackTick RaceMaster and wireless speed,depth,wind. Garmin 545 chartplotter, VHF, radio & PolyPlanar speakers.
Safety: anchor in custom deck well, LifeSling2, up-to-date flares, etc.
Alcohol stove, new Jabsco head, very good cabin seat cushions & cockpit cushions, removable dinner table, plenty of spares, plenty of storage.
