About this Sailboat:
Tropicbird is a roomy comfortable long distance cruising yacht. Much like a floating apartment. She has sailed much of the world. There are three separate entrances to below, the central cockpit companionway and the fore and aft companionways each with sliding hatches. 8 berths (plus 3 in the covered cockpit), 2 heads, 1 shower, 1 bath, galley, large saloon.
Build is Cold Molded epoxy bonded diag x 3 mahogany wood, solid, no rot, no bugs. She has three separate entrances to below decks. Owner apprentice served boat-builder has re-furbished over the last two years. All ongoing work is cosmetic.
Engine Perkins M90 80hp (year 2000) hours run gauge reads 3600 hrs, lovingly maintained. Oil changes each 150 hours. Good sails, good rig, (easy to singlehandedly sail), electronics. (See inventory below)
This is the 4th personal cruising yacht that I have restored, I will miss my ‘Bird’ but I want to move onward. (Probably rescue another boat).

My yacht is in solid condition. As said before I am a professional yacht restorer, my apprenticeship was in yacht carpentry. I bought Tropicbird in Tortola two years ago and between chartering have worked her up to a much better condition. I have nothing to hide and have some photos of the repairs I have done should you request.

Storm Tri-sail (Loose footed) Hanked to sliders on the mainmast in strong weather (to my knowledge never used)
Main halyard winches self-tailing Harken (plus another Harken self-tailing on opposite side of the mast and another low down non self-tailing on the front of the mast.
Reefing winch on the boom non self-tailing.
Mizzen mast has 1 x non self-tailing halyard winch.

Navigation equipment: GPS connected to PC running plotter programs
