About this Sailboat:
1978 Catalina, 27 foot standard rig sailboat introduced in 1970 ranked 15 out of the top 75 most popular boat builders, it is a fine example of well known sloops. LOA 26′ 10″, beam 8′ 10″, draft 4′ with a transferable title. I am selling her for $2,500 negotiable to avid sailors or beginners looking for a responsive but forgiving starter boat or liveaboard. This Catalina is in very nice shape. Vessel was recently hauled May 1, 2012. Bottom is in good condition and repainted with softcoat annual paint, has tiller steering, dinette model with full set of interior cushions. This boat sleeps 5, large enough for overnight trips, and fast enough for racing in the bay. Interior cabin has complete headroom. Head in good shape with 30 gallon holding tank, 20 gallon fresh water tank with foot pump for galley sink where you will find the icebox w/teak cover. It also has a hang locker in the cabin. There is a danforth anchor, life jackets, 2 fire extinguishers, 1 main sail, 2 genoa sails, single marine battery w/1.5amp trickle charger, standard depth sounder, an 8hp Mariner-2 stroke outboard, manual start, tiller style, outboard motor, with the gear shifter built into the tiller handle twist grip. This is convenient if you want to add an extention kit. This motor is light weight at 75lbs. I have tested this motor and it runs perfect. It pumps water, shifts into gear, accelerates, idles, and starts great. Ready for cruising the Islands or family weekends. Turn key boat- get ready to sail! Slip may be available with marina management approval.
