About this Sailboat:
OK this is for all the adventuresome folks out there looking for a true blue water pocket cruiser! This 1976 Cape Dory needs NOTHING to go on extended cruises and suits just fine for day sailing or weekending! Very stable full keel design, she handles very well to the waves, sailing much like a bigger boat. Drafting only 3 feet to 3’10 (depending on load), She can get you right up to shore for the best anchor spots! We have taking her on a 6 day passage with 3 adults and she truly is the biggest tiny boat! Comes with the trailer!
Equipment on Board:
Rigging has been replaced as needed this year ( some looked totally fine so i left a few side stays); Solar panel keeps up one back up battery; 6.6 Johnson charges one battery and keeps the boat moving against current at hull speed (6 knotts!); 3 batteries in total are also charged via 30amp shore power on a 3 bank charger; Power outlets installed for electronics while docked; Hatch vent also solar powered; Garmin 2012 GPS chart plotter and sonar split screen.
Also new in 2012: Head, tiller pilot, nonskid deck and paint, bottom paint and boot stripe, vhf, window unit AC, new anchor chain, there’s more I cant think of I’m sure of it!
Sink with fresh water (20 gallons) and sea water pumps, 2 burner stove with LP gas in the lazerette, Bimini top, bow and stern pulpits and life lines, main sail cover, tiller cover, and more!
Cockpit cushions, Genoa 150, jib/storm main, spinnaker and main all in decent shape. The jib is still new!
She can easily be trailered to any dream destination and cruising by afternoon! Boat is truly ready to go with out really needing anything to cruise.
