About this Sailboat:
Hallberg-Rassy builds the toughest, most durable world cruisers, and the Monsun is the company’s all-time best-seller. At just over 31 feet, the Monson’s full keel and hull form provides far greater motion comfort (seakindness) than much larger boats. Yet tiller steering provides the true sense and joy of sailing.
The hull was built to Lloyd’s of London standards for circumnavigation. The deck is a GRP sandwich with polyvinyl cellular plastic as core material for strength and insulation. Most important is the fact that this core material can never get wet, rot, and fail like balsa or plywood cores used by virtually every other builder. The interior is finished with mahogany.
