1968 Newport Newport 30

5 October, 2011 by EVAN

About this Sailboat:

$12,500 Or Best Offer

Very roomy 30′ Newport, sleeps 7 comfortably with extra wide berth and 6′ head clearance in the galley. This is a 1968 Newport with an Atomic 4 Gasoline Engine (complete rebuild cost about $5,500, it only has approximately 20hours on rebuilt engine) and the engine water pump was just replaced and the two batteries are brand new.

I have a company coming out to do some minor fiberglass and gelcoat repair/maintenance, as well as acid wash, rust conditioning maintenance, polish/surface contaminant removal, wax & compounding. This will cost me approximately $1,600 and I will throw this in with the listed price. The exterior wood is being re-sanded, polished and shined this week, which will also be a free extra to the buyer.

I will consider financing this boat to someone with good credit, proof of income, and a down payment. $3,000 down and 12 equal payments.

Equipment on Board:

This is a beautiful boat with tons of extras. Mainsail, Jib, and Spinnaker (big colorful parachute sail) with all the rigging. The mast can be lowered for going under bridges, etc. (boat comes with rigging to do that). There are 7 extra sails included in this purchase (extra main, jib, storm main and storm jib and 3 more). Interior is original, but I have hired someone to re-upholster with black cushions with red and grey accent pillows (included in price). Lots of extra rope/lines, gadgets, binoculars, stereo system, auto pilot device, GPS navigation system, 4 winch handles, lots of maps of channel islands, radio/CB, various useful tools, kitchen cookware, pots & pans, 10 or 14 life vests for adults and children, 5 fire extinguishers, 3 anchors, on deck bbq, deck covers (black as seen in pictures). In the kitchen there is a stove that has 3 burners and an oven, refrigerator/ice box and running water (via foot or hand pump). There is a 5 gallon drinking water tank and a 15 gallon tank for bathroom & sink water.
