1967 Ericson SCORPION

5 October, 2011 by EVAN

About this Sailboat:

The Ericson Scorpion is a rare version of the 5.5 meter sloop. More commonly made by Columbia as the Sabre, the Ericson has the same hull shape. The finishing work on this boat is great, and it will make n excellent day sailor for the next owner. Only 24 Scorpions were built, all in 1967. This is your chance to own a rare daysailor which will perform for years to come. They rarely make neat boats like this anymore. The Scorpion is great for
racing too, with a PHRF of 198. This boat is hull #24, which makes it late model for a scorpion.
The boat is in dry storage in Alameda, CA at Nelson’s Yacht, 1500 Ferry Pt # 167, Alameda, CA 94501.

To see it, just call my boat broker at Nelson’s Yacht Chad Freitas Cell (# removed)

Equipment on Board:

Valero has 5 Jibs, 3 Kites and a Mainsail. The rigging is brand new, just replaced. The outboard motor is also brand new. A Tohatsu 6hp extra long shaft has just been purchased for this boat and has never been started. The motor will charge batteries to power electronics on longer trips. Electronics have been tested with all lights and vhf radio working.
