About this Sailboat:
Well built and well maintained classic mahogany sloop that looks and sails great. This beautiful vessel, Built by the Stephens Bros. in Stockton,CA, has been extensively restored and is well maintained in classic tradition. With a self tending club jib the boat is easily handled by 1-2 people. A 155% genoa and 3 spinnakers with original poles and gear are also included.
Down below the main salon, with two berths, and V-berth forward with storage drawerz and hanging lockers, provide comfortable accomodations for 4-6.
Fresh paint and varnish on the topsides was completed June 2011. A drydocked survey and complete bottom paint job were completed May 2011.
Current owner, since 1991, has moved from the area and is ready to sell, and will consider reasonable offers.
Equipment on Board:
1″ Phillipine mahogany planking, bronze fastened to 2×2 oak frames on 11 inch centers. the boat has been extensively restored and refastened in recent years.
Topsides: Honduran mahogany cabin sides, toerail, and coamings. Teak cockpit sole.
Rig: 3/4 Fractional rig with running back stays. All Spars are varnished Sitka Spruce maintaining the original character. The spars have been extensively refurbished and are well maintained.
Sails: Main, and 90% self tending club jib, Quantum new 2001, 155% Genoa, North older but serviceable, 3 spinnakers, 2 poles (one is a spare and needs resoration), and a reaching strut.
Auxillary Power: Single Universal M35 Diesel. Reconditioned engine with new Hurth tranmission and new Martec fixed 2 blade propeller installed 2008. Propeller shaft, stuffing box and cutlass bearing were inspeceted and refurbished as needed at that time.
Winches: 2, barient #26 SS Genoa sheet, 1 Barient #10 SS mainsheet, 2 Merriman #3 chrome/bronze Spinnaker sheet, 3 Merriman #2 spinnaker and jib halyard, cunningham, 1 Merriman #3 main halyard, 1 Merriman #1 main outhaul
Ventilators: 4 4″ bronze, 1 6″ bronze and one 4” mushroom vent forward, bronze running lights, bronze spinnaker sheet turning blocks, 4 south coast snach blocks, boom traveler, spare tiller, Stephens cast Bronze (chromed plated), circular forward hatch with new bronze screen. 3 bronze opening port lights (7×14) with new bronze screens. 6 fixed port lights with bronzed trim rings.
Fuel: 25 Gal. monel
Fresh Water: 3 tanks 1-35 gal, under cabin sole, monel, 2-40 gal monel FWD.
Accomdations: V-Berth forward, sleeps two with four storage drawers and two hanging lockers. Main Salon: storage cabinets and settees port and starboard,sleeps 2, removeable drop oak leaf table. Teak and holly cabin sole. Interior is bright and cheery with ‘Prima Vera’fronts though out. Interior wood work refinished 2011.
Stove: 2 burner with single oven, alchohol, Luke’s ‘Heritage’ Stainless steel with cast aluminum top and bronze burners
Ice boxes: 2, Stainless steel lined
sink: Stainless, with manual pump
Head: stainless sink, Groco Type D Bronze marine toilet
Ground tackle: Danforth anchor with 20ft chain and 150 ft dacron line.
12VDC with two banks,3 batteries total(new in 2009)with Perko battery isolation switch, circuit breakers, 120 VAC shore power, Built in Lewco Silicon Diode Battery charger; VHF radio, Horizon Standard, Depth sounder, Sitex with transducer installed at bottom of keel. Rule 2000 bilge pump, Perko bronze manual pump.
Accessories: cockpit cushions, like new, full boat cover, boat is covered when ever boat is not in use, dodger.
History: This classic sloop is hull # 12 of 19 farallone Clippers. She was built was built to order for the original owner, who sailed and carefully maintained the boat for approximately 28 years. The boat is a Transpac veteran along with sailing many offshore regattas in the San Francisco, CA area. The boat currently participates regularly in SF Bay Master Mariner events and a few YRA handicap division events (PHRF is 159).
