    This is a cold-molded pocket cruiser designed by Mike Kaufman.This is his “Muffin”, kind of an Eastport Pinky double-ender. Entire boat and engine have been refitted in 2(# removed).     Designed by Carl Alberg, this classic full keel sloop is the prettiest gal at the dance! Tiller steering. Sleeps 4 comfortably. She has a generous amount of teak inside and out and many upgrades such as a furling jib with sunshade, full batten main, new DC circuit panel and washdown pump.     About this Sailboat:

    The steps from the forward companionway lead down to the area between the galley sinks to starboard and the nav station to port. Just forward of the galley is a large dinette seating 6 for dinner. Opposite, to port, is a large settee with storage above, behind and below. Just aft of the settee is the nav station.

    A passage leads forward toward the vee berth. Off the passage to starboard is the forward head and shower. Just forward of the head compartments are built to accommodate a washer and a dryer. The forepeak houses a guest stateroom with a vee berth.

    The galley is L shaped and goes along the starboard side from the dinette aft all the way back past the cockpit and engine room to the owner’s stateroom. There is a tremendous amount of counter space.

    The owner’s berth is a queen located fore and aft to the port side. Opposite, to starboard, are tons of beautifully varnished lockers and drawers. To port, forward of the berth, is the owner’s head with large tub and shower. Adjacent to the door from the galley steps lead up to the aft companionway and the cockpit. Ample opening ports for light and ventilation

    Outfitted to go cruising and featuring an Island Queen berth in the Aft Master Stateroom. This Hunter 40 is just waiting for new owners to sail her away. Custom arch with traveler on the arch makes the cockpit clutter free. She has a bimini and a dodger, dinghy davits, 9ft 4in dingy, electric windlass, autopilot, radar, 2 VHFs, SSB antenna and ground plate, depth, speed, air conditioning, 4kw generator, fans, solar panels, Kenwood marine stereo with CD player and Ipod connection, 2 refrigerators with freezers, 2000 watt inverter/Charger, oversized winches and rod rigging. This is a clean boat and very well equipped. Ready to go. She was surveyed in 2006 and hauled out, waxed and bottom coated in October 2008.

    Sails & Rigging
    The main sail is full batten with 3 reef points. The genoa is 130% with Harken roller furler. The standing rigging is stainless steel rod rigging (Navtek) and there is a hydraulic adjustable backstay installed. The main halyard winch is a Maxwell 25 two speed self tailing winch. The Genoa halyard is a Maxwell 24 two speed self tailing winch. The genoa sheet winches are oversized Lewmar 55 two speed self tailing winches. There is a rigid boom vang and all the canvas is in good condition.

    Deck & Hull
    The decks are wide and easily traversed. There are 2 anchors, one is a CQR type with 150′ chain and 150′ rode. The second anchor is a danforth with 30′ chain and 200′ rode. The windlass is an electric Sprint 1000 and was installed in August 2004 and rebuilt in October 2008. The cockpit is large and roomy with comfortable cushions and a fold down table. An arch with the traveler moved to the top of the arch serves as support for the Bimini/Dodger combination. There is a transom ladder, a second swim ladder, fenders, jack lines and safety equipment on board.

    Mechanical
    The generator is a 4kw Mase with a Yanmar diesel engine. The AC/Heat is a 16,000 BTU water cooled heat pump.
